In fulfilling its mandate, the Zambia Flying Doctor Service (ZFDS) has deployed four (4) medical teams for outreach missions to rural and hard-to-reach areas.

The implementation of medical outreaches began on July 31, 2024, covering Kabompo and Manyinga Districts in North Western Province, Nsama District in Northern Province, and Lusangazi District in Eastern Province.

Of the four outreach activities, three are routine, offering a range of medical services, including:

1. Medical consultations

2. Dental and eye services

3. Laboratory services

The Kabompo outreach is specialized, offering obstetric and gynecology services.

All medical services, including dispensing drugs and reading glasses, are provided free of charge.
